DE-INSTALL
Midwest has worldwide capabilities to manage your de-installation requirements.
Proper disconnect and equipment removal will ensure that the targeted assets
will retain their revenue producing value while minimizing the overall cost
of removal. Midwest can manage the entire removal process, or play a role as
directed by a project manager on a removal team. There are no projects too large
or too small for Midwest. In one program, Midwest managed the entire removal
of 1,000,000 lines of central office equipment from multiple sites. In another,
Midwest managed the electrical disconnect, removal, processing, and resale of
over 200 PBX and key systems for a large county government. Midwest has the
experience and the personnel to provide cost effective solutions to your de-installation
needs.
TRANSPORT
Midwest has the capabilities to coordinate your transportation requirements
in conjunction with our other services. Midwest competitively finds the most
economical transportation solution that meets specific needs. Our worldwide
dispatch services can assist in inbound, outbound, and intercontinental shipments
regardless of size and configuration.
ASSET MANAGE
Midwest can manage your assets through customized programs designed to meet
your exact requirements, maximizing revenues and minimizing logistical and operational
costs. Whether your equipment is surplus, in process, overstock, used, defective,
or proprietary, Midwest has the capability to design integrated repair/refurbish,
and re-deployment operations, as well as perform warehousing and inventory functions.
Midwest can segregate your product throughout our processes without co-mingling
with like products from multiple sources. Online, real time access to your inventory
through our MAS200 inventory tracking system is available 24 hours a day. Customized
reports can be designed to meet any reporting criteria from stock status to
itemized sales production. Midwest has also incorporated a procurement program
into our services to assist customers in finding products and/or components
not readily available, for production, maintenance, and warranty support.
TEST/REPAIR/REFURBISH
Midwest has the technical expertise and personnel to implement product testing,
repair, and refurbishment programs per customer requirements. Midwest administers
several contract repair/refurbishment programs for major OEMs within the
telecommunications industry. Our experienced technicians have worked on a wide
variety of products, enhancing the value of customer owned assets, and increasing
the return on investment for products to be sold by Midwest. Programs can be
designed to meet specific requirements from processing individual items to complete
systems.
RE-DEPLOY/INSTALL
Assets managed by Midwest can be re-deployed to the desired level of our customers.
This can be in the form of a simple recall of assets being held by Midwest in
an "as is", repaired, or refurbished condition. Or to the level of
re-deploying complete systems that have been tested, and reconfigured to a specific
site application. Midwest has the capability to manage complete installations
of electronic equipment throughout the telecommunications industry.
RECLAIM/RECYCLE
Equipment that may have limited resale value or that is proprietary and marked
for destruction may best serve our customers and the community by being reduced
to its core components for recycling. Midwest Re-Logistics is a world class
recycling facility that is utilized by Midwest Communication Products and Midwest
Digital, as well as direct customers. Midwest Re-Logistics will separate, breakdown,
and aggregate equipment deemed for processing into ferrous, non-ferrous, and
plastic categories, and thanks to our enormous volume of electronic "scrap",
we are then able to obtain the best possible price from refiners and smelters.
Many electronic devices contain hazardous materials that are strictly monitored
by the EPA, and proper handling is a must to eliminate an environmental nightmare
and major liability to our customers. Midwest strictly follows all federal,
state, and local EPA, DOT, and OSHA laws and regulations, and maintains a $10
million dollar protection liability insurance policy for customer assurance
and protection.
RE-MARKET/RESALE
Midwest has an experienced sales staff that maximizes the return to our customers.
Our extensive customer base provides the ability to move large volumes of equipment
worldwide at market prices. Midwest can often find a "home" for equipment
that has been considered obsolete and/or of no value. Midwest incorporates innovative
selling programs that allow us to move a wide variety of products into the marketplace.
Midwest will market and sell within the guidelines set forth by our suppliers.
